New software tool gets off to IMPRES-ive start
Intermedia Solutions, a Darlington based web development company, has moved into designing and licensing Internet software tools. Their software called IMPRES, which stands for Internet Marketing, Publishing & Rapid Editing System, is used to produce and manage large portfolios of websites for companies with numerous products, service or locations. It was announced this week that the product was a finalist in the Technology section of the Tees Valley Business Awards. The move is already generating highly specialist jobs with the recent appointment of Stuart Maxwell as Software Business Development Manager. With a successful track record in growing high-tech businesses Stuart brings a wealth of software application sales experience, both here and abroad. "We are already in discussions with potential partners in overseas markets, beginning with Scandinavia and the United States. Expansion into these markets would almost certainly lead to more jobs being created in Darlington", he said. "Businesses are ready to take 'ownership' of their websites now. They don’t want to have to write out a purchase order every time they open a new depot, launch another product, or change a specification." "Neither do they want to wait for weeks while these things are actioned. This system allows instant website publishing and editing using nothing more than word-processing skills. Crucially, it also allows pin-point search engine marketing." As well as already being used by major UK companies, the IMPRES software has been the 'springboard' for two spin-off businesses from Intermedia. An on-line package holiday company was sold last year to travel division of the Co-op and another consumer business will be launched in the coming weeks. IMPRES Description Back to News
